Best CCNA study materials
It is important that you should prepare properly for the exam, so I want to share some CCNA training tips that I used to pass the CCNA exam:
1. Choose the best CCNA books
The first book I want to recommend is Todd Lammle’s book. He makes the concepts very easy to understand with many examples and screen shots of what he is doing.
The next recommended book is CCNA Portable Command Guide, which guides you through the configurations of routers and switches. This book summarizes all the commands, keywords and arguments you need to do basic configurations. For more information about these books, visit this link: CCNA Recommended Books
2. Practice with Simulators
The biggest tip to pass CCNA exam is “practice, practice and practice”. It would be wonderful if you have real routers and switches to practice with. But in most cases, we often use simulators due to the lack of time and budget. Fortunately the two most famous networking simulators, GNS3 and Packet Tracer, are free.
3. Learn from practice questions
I do not encourage candidates to look for real questions in the exam but the questions that help you review and test your CCNA knowledge. There are many free CCNA practice questions on the web. Try your best to solve them before looking at the answer
sheet and make sure you grasp the concepts behind. Here is a good resource I recommend: CCNA Practice Questions
That’s all I want to share and hope the above recommendations can help you prepare well for your CCNA Certification.
